Overview
FlexiPosition WhatsApp Chat provides a Shopify theme app embed that lets merchants add a WhatsApp click-to-chat button to their storefront.
Information We Process
The app may process the following merchant-related information:
- Shopify shop domain and basic shop information needed to install and run the app.
- App session information required for Shopify authentication.
- Billing status handled through Shopify App Pricing.
- Theme app embed settings entered by the merchant, such as WhatsApp phone number, pre-filled message, button color, size, position, and spacing.
The current version does not collect buyer messages, WhatsApp conversations, WhatsApp API tokens, customer order data, or protected customer data.
How We Use Information
We use merchant information to:
- Authenticate the app installation.
- Display and manage the app inside Shopify Admin.
- Enable the storefront theme app embed.
- Process subscription billing through Shopify App Pricing.
- Provide support and troubleshoot app issues.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Shopify processes app billing and authentication data according to Shopify's own terms and policies. WhatsApp conversations happen outside this app, between the shopper and the merchant through WhatsApp.
Data Retention
We retain app session and installation records for as long as needed to operate the app. When a merchant uninstalls the app, uninstall webhooks are used to remove stored app session data where applicable.
Security
We use Shopify's authentication systems and Shopify App Pricing for subscription billing. Production hosting uses HTTPS and protected environment variables for app credentials.
